Depot Canal?

КАНАЛ ГРИБОЕДОВА (Griboyedov Canal) sign on a Depot warehouse.
Was Bond meant to have seen it in the previous Streets mission?
The canal area in the film is the РЕКИ МОЙКИ (Moyka River), near to the
БОЛЬШОЙ КОНЮШЕННЫЙ МОСТ (Bolshoy Konyushenny Bridge).
Following the road directly from the bridge would lead you across to the
НОВО-КОНЮШЕННЫЙ МОСТ (Novo-Konyushenny Bridge) and then on
to the ЦЕРКОВЬ СПАСА НА КРОВИ (Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood)
at the beginning of the КАНАЛ ГРИБОЕДОВА (Griboyedov Canal).

View of the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood from the
Griboyedov Canal in St. Petersburg.

Although the church itself is not visible in the film,
St. Petersburg scenes were filmed in close proximity to it.

The same sign is visible in the film during the Tank Chase in St. Petersburg.
This shot in the film was captured on the Leavesden set, which
members of the Bond Team visited several times during principal photography.
Given this, it is likely the Team simply used the photographed sign as a general
texture for the St. Petersburg missions. But it might indicate that
Griboyedov Canal was once a part of an earlier version of Streets. Having
a canal to cross might have given Streets a little more variety but it seems that
the level was already stretching the limits of the N64, as many other elements
were excised from it. Such as—Ourumov's car, several street signs and textures,
and possibly some enemy jeeps that could move about.
